A beverage consists of water, syrup, acid, flavor, colorant and other ingredients. Flavors may account for as low as 0.05% of total volume, while colorants are dosed at merely tens of ppm. Syrup viscosity reaches thousands of mPa·s, and plant protein slurries are even thicker.
