dosing pump, also known as barrel pump, is a reciprocating volumetric pump whose flow can be adjusted both dynamically and statically.
1. Check and prepare the dosing pump before operation
1)Check whether the bolts of each connection are tightened, whether the machine foot is adjusted squarely, the nut is not allowed to have loose phenomenon.
2)Before using the new pump for the first time, scrub the anti-rust grease on the processing surface of each moving part, and do not allow scraping with metal tools.
3)Add 220# worm gear oil or 50# gear oil to the oil mark in the rotating box according to the ambient temperature and the temperature of the conveyed medium.
4)Drive the coupling, make the piston move back and forth several times, there should not be any jamming phenomenon, and feel smooth.
5)Check whether the adjusting handwheel is in zero position, otherwise it should be high to zero (such as the adjusting meter should be calibrated to zero, the adjusting meter will affect the range drift during the transportation).
(6) Check whether the motor line is connected to the corresponding network power (wiring method, voltage should be in accordance with the motor nameplate calibration requirements), and make the pump rotate according to the specified direction of rotation.
2.Start dosing pump
(1) Before starting the motor, check whether the valve on the inlet and outlet pipeline is open or not, only when the inlet and outlet pipelines are free and clear can the motor be started.
2)After starting, the motor should be allowed to run for several minutes at no load, and then put into use according to the need if there is no abnormal premise.
(3) According to the needs of the process, check the flow calibration and curve provided in the certificate and the actual working conditions to retest the flow calibration curve, and derive the corresponding stroke percentages, and turn the adjusting handwheel to the specified scale. When rotating the adjusting handwheel, pay attention not to be too fast and too hard, should be adjusted from small flow to large flow direction, if you need to adjust from large to small, you should rotate the handwheel through several frames, and then rotate to the large flow direction to the scale. After adjustment, the adjustment plate should be locked to prevent loosening.
(4) dosing pump stroke adjustment can also be carried out in the parking or operation, stroke adjustment, the pump flow needs 1 ~ 2min to stabilize, the greater the change in stroke length, the longer the time required to stabilize the flow.
3. Operation with load
(1) about 20min after loading operation, should check the plunger packing seal leakage and temperature rise at each movement.
(2) When the leakage amount exceeds 5 drops per minute, the packing pressure cap should be properly tightened.
(3) When the temperature rises rapidly, stop immediately, relax the packing pressure cap, and check the cause, and then start operation after troubleshooting.
(4) Check that the temperature of the regulator and other moving parts shall not exceed 65℃.
5)After starting, the operation should be smooth and there should be no abnormal noise; otherwise, stop and check the reason, and eliminate the root cause of noise before putting into operation.
4.stopping of dosing pump
(1) Cut off the power supply and stop the motor operation.
2)Close the inlet pipe valve, but it must be opened before starting the machine.
5. Daily maintenance of dosing pump
1)Check the amount of lubricating oil in the crankcase frequently, when the oil is not enough, replenish the lubricating oil in time.
2)Check the lubricant oil temperature frequently, the maximum allowed oil temperature is 80℃.
3)Replace the lubricating oil. Replace all new lubricants after the first 500h of pump operation, and after every 2000~3000h of continuous operation or half year of intermittent operation, all new lubricants should be replaced.
4)Packing. A small amount of liquid in the pump body leaks out from the packing gland is allowed, if the leakage increases, the packing gland can be adjusted slowly to tighten the packing to reduce the leakage or replace the packing.
